This will be the inaugural year for a National 10-Ball Championship. Due to the many other disciplines that Provinces hold qualifiers for, the CBSA have decided to make the 10-Ball Championships a direct entry event. Sanction fee for this event will be $200 until Aug. 14th., and $250 after the above mentioned date. Sanction fees for any person that is not a member in good standing of their respective Provincial Assoc. will not be accepted.
The CBSA is also very pleased to announce that the Open Snooker field will be increased to 48, due to the increase in participation in Provinces such as Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
The official cue sponsor of the 2009 Canadian Cue Sports Championships will be PREDATOR. Other sponsors will be announced over the next few months. These sponsorships will assist in increasing the prize fund for the Championships.

Steve Cooper, CBSA President
The CBSA will also be launching a new and improved website in the very near future. I will send further information to you when it becomes available.
The information sheets for the Championships will be sent out to the Provinces in March.
I hope you are all having a successful season in your Province. If any of you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact myself, or any of the CBSA Directors. We would be more that happy to address your concerns
Regards,
Steve Cooper
